The Korean Medical Association sent the medical team to Indonesia, composed of 8 doctors, 4 nurses, 7 medical students, 1 administration staff, and 1 reporter, 24 in total, to Jakarta on January 5, 2005. The KEMAT (Korean Emergency Medical Assistance Team) landed at the Aceh airport on January 8 via Mandela airline with 21 Indonesian doctors and volunteers to start the medical support activities.
